Understanding these terms is mandatory for safe operation within TorZon.

2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)
A security process in which the user provides two different authentication factors to verify themselves. On TorZon, this involves decrypting a PGP message.
Cold Storage
Storing cryptocurrency offline (e.g., on a USB drive or paper wallet) so it cannot be hacked via the internet. TorZon keeps 95% of funds in cold storage.
DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service)
An attack where a network is flooded with traffic to make it inaccessible. Common in the Tor network.
Drop
An address used to receive illicit packages. A "clean drop" is an address not associated with the buyer's real identity.
Escrow

FE (Finalize Early)
Releasing funds to the vendor before the product has been shipped or received. High risk. Only for trusted vendors.
OpSec (Operational Security)
A process that identifies critical information to determine if friendly actions can be observed by enemy intelligence. In short: keeping your mouth shut and your tracks covered.
PGP (Pretty Good Privacy)
An encryption program that provides cryptographic privacy and authentication for data communication. Essential for encrypting addresses.
Phishing
A fraudulent attempt to obtain sensitive information (passwords, PGP keys) by disguising as a trustworthy entity (fake TorZon links).
Tails OS
The Amnesic Incognito Live System. A Linux distribution aimed at preserving privacy and anonymity. It forgets everything after you shut down.
Tumbler / Mixer
A service that mixes potentially identifiable or "tainted" cryptocurrency funds with others, so as to obscure the trail back to the fund's original source.
XMR (Monero)
A private, secure, and untraceable cryptocurrency. The preferred currency of TorZon.
